And so it begins…
, 07 30th, 2008Welcome everybody to our first BLOG (WeB-LOG for those of you who are wondering). This has been a work-in-progress (in James’ head) for sometime now so it’s quite a relief to have finally pulled it together. And no time like the present…just 8 weeks before the arrival of Chloe Nanscawen! (her latest pic can be seen in the banner at the top of this screen).
We figured a family blog would be a great (non-intrusive) way to keep family and friends apprised of our comings/goings/accomplishments/observations/opinions without the need to hammer out lengthy and wordy letters…something neither of us have been good at doing in the past (and we’re resolute to the fact that we’ll never be good at keeping up regular correspondence). So, though not as personal, this is the next best thing. Plus we promise to cram our blogs with colorful pictures and fun (read: silly) little add-ins to keep the content interesting.
So, welcome one and welcome all to a small window into our world! And thank you in advance for your interest (something we assume is the case otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this right now).
James and Elana
P.S. Some minor house-keeping:
1. We will both be individually contributing to our blog so…to avoid confusion…James’ postings will be displayed in a sophisticated gray text and Elana’s postings will be recognized by a dazzling turquoise text. When Chloe’s old enough to contribute, her’s will be pretty in pink. Ok, and Taz’s will be dirty, stinky brown (but don’t expect much from him…he’s too busy sleeping in sun-patches and barking at strange noises that only he hears)
2. You can all contribute to any of our posts at any time by writing in the ‘comments’ box. In fact, we look forward to hearing your comments/thoughts/responses so…please do!
